SmartLegal is a tool to assist attorneys and does not provide legal advice. Users are responsible for reviewing all generated content and ensuring its accuracy and appropriateness for their specific use case.
To use SmartLegal, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You retain all rights to the documents you create using SmartLegal. By using the Service, you grant SmartLegal a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
SmartLegal uses artificial intelligence to assist in drafting legal documents. While we strive for accuracy and use verified legal templates, AI-generated content should always be reviewed by a qualified attorney before use.
SmartLegal makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated documents.
SmartLegal offers optional blockchain-based archival services ("Forever Storage"). When you choose to use Forever Storage:
SmartLegal is not responsible for loss of access to Forever Storage documents due to lost encryption keys or blockchain network failures.
SmartLegal offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you select (monthly or annually).
All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, with notice to existing subscribers.
If you fail to pay any fees when due, we may suspend or terminate your access to paid features until payment is received.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SMARTLEGAL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
SMARTLEGAL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMARTLEGAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SmartLegal and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of SmartLegal after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
